Front illuminated letters, also known as front-lit channel letters, are a style of illuminated signage where the acrylic face is illuminated by internal LEDs. The signage can be styled with the acrylic face seamlessly bonded to the return (side wall). The signage can also be styled with a trim cap, which is an extruded metal or acrylic lining around the edge of a channel letter that secures the acrylic panel face to the letter body. We also offer an epoxy resin face style signage, which uses a clear or coloured epoxy resin face that is illuminated by internal LEDs. The resin is moulded for a smooth, glossy finish and is securely sealed to an aluminium or stainless-steel letter body.
Back illuminated channel letters (also known as halo-lit letters, reverse channel letters, or backlit letters) are a style of illuminated signage that is illuminated by internal LED and illuminates through the back panel of the letters. As this style of signage is illuminated via the backing of the sign, it can be installed with spacers or flush, depending on the style of signage, to offer a halo/ back glow effect. This signage can be styled with either a clear acrylic panel attached to the back of the channel letter (allowing light to glow from the back and sides of the signage). Alternatively, built with an inserted acrylic backing that sits flush with the backing of the signage, to offer a halo effect when the sign is illuminated. This form of signage is recommended to be installed with spacers to allow a gap between the sign and the surface it is installed onto.
